You have an old couple trying to come up with get rich schemes,
mainly by planning to rob a bank. Obviously the actual plan yields comical
results but that's not all. While executing the plan to rob the bank, the
plan actually changes...and is successful at getting the couple rich.
Here's where the wackiness begins. Now that they're rich (really rich),
their life styles change, they socialize with different crowds, have different
interests...all to eventually realize that everyone's a phony and this life
style isn't really for them. Eventually, they withdraw and move to
Florida, part of their original plan.
I'm not a fan of Allen in real life but I'm beginning to become a fan of his movies, although I've only seen about 3 or 4 of them. I went to see this movie just based on the fact that he was in it. I was not let down. What starts out as a predictable plot quickly turns into a totally different direction but maintains the high 'funny-factor' that this movie was advertised on.
